Delete your account in the app

The fastest way to delete your account and data is from inside MiDESQ. You do not need to contact us.

  1. Open the MiDESQ app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Setup.
  3. Open Account.
  4. Choose Delete account.
  5. Confirm when prompted. The deletion is carried out immediately.
This cannot be undone. Export or print anything you need to keep before you confirm — see section 4.
02

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, have uninstalled the app, or would prefer us to action it for you, email us and we will do it.

  1. Email rob.bird@jobdone-group.com.
  2. Put “Data deletion request” in the subject line.
  3. Send it from the email address registered to your MiDESQ account, so we can verify it is you. If you cannot, tell us the business name and mobile number on the account and we will verify another way.
  4. Tell us whether you want your whole account deleted, or only specific data removed.

We acknowledge requests within 5 working days and complete them within 30 days, as required by the UK GDPR. We will not charge you, and we will confirm in writing when it is done.

03

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following are erased across every device signed in to that account:

  • Your business profile, contact details and login
  • Your customer records, including their names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses
  • Jobs, quotes, bookings and job history
  • Photographs and documents you uploaded, including gas safety certificates
  • Messages and conversation history with the in-app AI assistant
  • Reminders, notes and change history
  • Your pricing and rate card settings
04

What is kept, and for how long

Some records cannot be deleted on request because UK law requires us, or you, to keep them. These are retained for the periods below and then deleted.

Data keptRetention periodWhy
Invoices and job records6 years from invoice dateHMRC and Companies Act obligations
Payment records6 yearsHMRC / VAT records
Account and identity data linked to those records6 yearsContractual; Limitation Act 1980
Support communications3 years from closureComplaint handling
Record of the deletion itselfIndefiniteEvidence the erasure happened. An internal reference and date only — it contains no personal data.
Before you delete: UK tax law generally requires a business to keep invoice and VAT records for six years, and that obligation rests with you, not with MiDESQ. Export or print anything you are required to keep before deleting your account.

Encrypted backups are held on a rolling schedule and are overwritten in the ordinary course, so deleted data may persist in a backup until it rotates out.

05

Two things deletion does not do

  • It does not cancel your subscription or billing arrangement. That must be cancelled separately.
  • It does not close your own Stripe account. That account belongs to you, and deletion does not affect money already paid to you.
06

If you are a customer of a MiDESQ subscriber

If a tradesperson has used MiDESQ to quote or invoice you, that tradesperson — not MiDESQ — is the controller of your data. Please contact them directly to request deletion. They may contact us to assist, and we will help them action it.
